About Us...

P. J. Barber Boatbuilder Limited was established in 2000 focusing on building new build boats. Over 50 boats have been built now, which have included traditional narrowboats, semi traditional, cruiser style narrowboats, wide beam boats and dutch barge style boats.

The workforce at Sheet Stores includes Paul Barber and Barry Argent. Both have years of experience on the canals including commercial carrying which has given them the expertise to build boats to such a high standard.

At Sheet Stores Basin there is a slip way for docking and repairs, including simple re-bottoming, re-footing or even complete restoration of working narrowboats using traditional techniques such as riveting.
